The CX-5 is offered in a range of trims, including Preferred, Sport, Touring, Carbon Edition, Grand Touring, Carbon Edition Turbo, Grand Touring Reserve, and Signature. We know that's a lot of trims-but we're going to simplify things and zero in on a couple of options.

One thing to be aware of is that all trims (except for the Carbon Edition Turbo) have a 187 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. 

One of our favorites, The Mazda CX-5 Touring trim has a bevy of features that make it a comfortable option for road trips, including dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, heated seats, and a luxe six-speaker audio system. The Carbon Edition is also eye-catching due to its unique gray color. This trim option has 19-inch wheels with a black-metallic finish and sports a classy black grille and paneling.

The SV Preferred package is exclusively available for the Mazda CX-5 Touring trim option. If you opt for the SV Preferred package, some of the features you will receive are:

The SV Preferred package usually comes with an additional $1,445 price tag compared to thebasic Touring package, but when you consider the many features you get for this price, we think it's well worth it.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MAZDA CX-5 TOURING AND PREFERRED?

When choosing between the Mazda CX-5 Touring and Preferred trims, there are a few key differences to consider. The Touring trim is more expensive, but it has several premium features that theMazda CX-5 Preferred edge lacks, including heated front seats, a power moonroof, and navigation. If you can afford the higher price tag, the Touring trim is the better option. However, the Preferred trim will still give you a great driving experience and all the essential features you need if you're on a budget.
